How we can help

Video & Phone Consultations

Video Consult Special

Jillian has extensive experience studying and working in the field of animal behaviour with both cats and dogs.  Click here to read more about Jillian's experience, philosophy, and qualifications.

Through video consultations, online chat, phone consults, and email follow up, Jillian can help you develop an individualized plan that works for your family and your pets.  Jillian can help with behaviours such as:

  • **Enrichment and boredom busting ideas (for both dogs and cats)
  • Litter box training for cats
  • Outdoor potty training for puppies
  • Separation training
  • Loose leash walking tutorials
  • Basic commands (sit, lay down, stay, come, leave it, drop it) tutorials
  • Crate (or X-pen) training
  • Handling desensitization
  • Puppy nipping or chewing and cat clawing issues

...and more!   Just email Jillian to inquire

We highly recommend an in-person consultation be done with a qualified, compassionate trainer if at all possible, as behaviour should be seen in person in order for your trainer to provide the best personalized advice for you and your dog.  If you are well outside of our service area (which stretches from Elie MB to River Heights, including Headingley, St. James, and Charleswood), please feel free to contact us for a referral.

You may also find our blog post on finding a qualified trainer helpful in your search.

If you've tried other options and still need help, we can provide a phone or video consultation.  Using modern technology, we can use video, Skype, FaceTime, etc. to facilitate communication and to allow your trainer to see your dog's behaviour in action.

The cost for a video consultation is $60 and must be pre-paid once an appointment for the call is made.  There is a cancellation fee of $20 if the appointment is missed or rescheduled once it has been confirmed.  Payment can be made through e-transfer or PayPal.   Video appointments include one follow-up email to include recommendations, resources, and an opportunity to ask any additional questions.

For the length of required social-distancing, Pawsitive Pet Care is offering reduced fees for video consultations.  These are available by appointment Mondays through Fridays, between the hours of 9:30am - 3:30pm.

We are offering one-hour video or phone consultations for $50, and half-hour video or phone consultations for $30 (GST included).

Please be advised that these consults are still by appointment only and our cancellation policy (outlined above) remains in effect, which is $20 for the one-hour consults and $15 for the half-hour consults.

Please contact Jillian with any questions, or to schedule an appointment.
