Boarding Checklist

With your permission, we'll post updates on our Facebook page, so be sure to like and follow us to see pictures of your pooch having a blast!

  • Please ensure you are familiar with our fees and cancellation policies prior to booking.  You can ask Jillian or find the information on our website by clicking here
  • Please bring your completed boarding questionnaire when you drop off your dog, or submit one electronically at

  • Please include anything that will help make your dog's stay more enjoyable, we want them to have fun while they're with us :)

  • Bring a comfort item from home for your dog:
    • an old t-shirt that smells like a family member
    • a favourite toy or blanket
    • favourite treats or chew

  • Bring their dog bed or blanket, anything they are used to sleeping on/with.
We do have kennels and X-pens here, but families are more than welcome to bring their dog's crate from home if they feel this would be beneficial.

  • Please put your dog’s name on anything that has a tag or that you can write on
  • Please bring enough food for your dog’s stay (plus a little extra just in case of delays in your return) along with feeding instructions (amounts, usual times, preferences, etc.).
  • Please bring any medications needed with specific administration and dosing instructions from your dog’s veterinarian
  • Please bring a regular 6-foot leash (nylon or leather) and a regular collar (buckle preferred).  If your dog pulls on walks, or if you prefer using them, please also provide your dog’s harness or head collar.  We will not use any collars or equipment that may cause an animal discomfort, pain or fear.  Please ensure all equipment is fitted properly so your dog cannot slip out while on a walk.
  • Please ensure your dog has proper I.D. on his collar with up-to-date contact information
  • We suggest notifying your veterinarian that your dog will be staying with us and providing your veterinarian with our business card so they know who we are if we ever need to contact them
  • If you will be out of town or difficult to reach, please provide a name and number of a trusted person in town in case of emergency

  • All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations prior to boarding, including bordetella (kennel cough).  Please note that bordetella vaccinations can take up to 2 weeks to take effect and only last between 6 months to one year, so it is best to book a vet appointment 2-4 weeks  before boarding your dog.

  • Feel free to contact Jillian with any questions at all, and to check in with us during your trip.  Your dog will be treated as part of our family while you are gone

All of our pet sitters are certified in emergency pet first aid, have a criminal records clearance, and are bonded under our insurance policy.
